An Integrated Control and Protection System based on the SEL-351, SEL-2030 and Citect SCADA system was provided in order to meet the customer requirements. The System provides a complete integrated protection, monitoring and control system, together with an energy monitoring interface, all utilising the relay as the primary/secondary plant interface. |

The supply, installation and commissioning of a turn-key SCADA EMS system for the Swaziland Electricity Board. This consists of a dual-redundant master station, an emergency control centre, 52 RTUs installed in substations throughout the country and a digital-data-communications system consisting of a backbone using high capacity microwave radio links and fibre-optic links. The communications backbone communicates with the RTUs using point to point UHF links. The software in the control centre is from Siemens/Telegyr Systems. It consists of advanced SCADA software and power applications software with power flow, state estimator, contingency analysis, optimal power flow and a dispatcher training simulator. The NCC building was redesigned and refurbished. A Barco- dr Seufert LCD display panel was installed. The NCC power system was also upgraded to include a UPS and standby diesel generator. |
