Description: Heavy Fuel Oil Installation

Scope:
A turnkey project to design, supply, install and commission a Heavy Fuel Oil installation used to fire metal holding furnaces. The contract included the design of the storage tank to API 650 specification, as well as dual tank-out heaters, circulation pumps, metal edge filters, in-line heaters and the piping reticulation.

The oil temperature is maintained through electrical trace heating and sufficient insulation along the entire supply and return pipeline. The heaters, pumps, filters and control system were skid mounted to allow full testing at the factory prior to shipping, thus minimising site assembly work.
