Scope:
IST Industrial designed and built this gas distribution system, which supplies methane rich gas to the casthouse, the carbon plant and various LPG users. The Sasol Gas installation replaces previously used HFO, LFO and LPG systems and was installled and commissioned prior to de-commissioning these systems.

It was designed to pipe gas at high pressure to two Pressure Reducing Stations controlling the line pressure to various users. The installation, which has a total of 120 take-off points, was fabricated from 316L stainless steel and conforms to NFPA 54 and ASME B31.3.
