Scope:
Iscor Newcastle appointed IST Industrial to convert three furnaces to dual burner options capable of handling methane rich Sasol Gas in addition to coke oven gas.

One Pressure Reducing Station at each furnace reduces the line pressure from 600kPA to 10kPA for distribution to the burners. The introduction of Sasol gas has dramatically improved the performance and efficiency of these old furnaces.
